Focusing on a new direction

Brand refresh

2026

Brief

"As we move from a pay per view platform to more a community-focused offering, we want to update the brand to reflect this change in direction and focus."

Background

The pay per view model brought a majority of users with a side-hustle mindset, opposed to photographers wanting to showcase their work and contribute their best work and knowledge to the community.

How I helped

  • Brand Strategy

  • Creative Strategy

  • Visual Identity

  • Brand Guidelines

Across social media ClickASnap has been promoted by creators as a side-hustle or passive-income platform. This had led to users signing up with the intention to make money, rather than photographers using the platform to share their content and grow.

In an effort to shed this perception, alongside releasing new community-focused features, it was time to update the brand.

I previously came up with a quick concept for an updated logomark back when I was designing the ClickASnap app and I used that as a jumping off point.

The new logomark represents the technology (old and new) that the users create their content with and is made up of two elements:

  • The flash symbolises shining a light on our users.

  • The lens symbolises focusing on our users’ content.

Alongside an updated logo, I created a supporting set of icons for use across the website, app, and marketing.

The icons represent interactions on the site, services / features, and to communicate an emotion or feeling.

When bringing the brand to life in the wider world, photography of course became the sole focus.

Any photography or video used in marketing material must link in some way to the act of photography. Whether it be showing a photographer with a camera or depicting a subject that a photographer would love to capture.
